An Invitation To Our Services
We
invite you to visit our worship assembly. You would be our
honored guest. At these assemblies, you would find a church
that is gathered for the primary purpose of praising the
Lord. He is worthy of great praise and adoration! In these
assemblies, we sing a mixture of modern and "traditional" a
cappella spiritual songs (Colossians 3:17). We also pray
(Acts 12:5; 1 Corinthians 14:15). We hope that our prayers
are heartfelt, meaningful, and offered with the proper
spirit of awe, respect, and love for God. Too, we take the
Lord's Supper on Sundays (Acts 20:7). We do so in order to
memorialize Jesus' death upon the cross (Matthew 26:26-30).
Also, on the first day of the week, we take an offering (1
Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7). Many trivialize
this portion of the worship service, but we try not to
minimize any part of the assembly. Each is equally
important. Finally, Bible based lessons are extended during
the worship service.
We are not perfect, nor
do we claim to be. We are simply Christians striving to do
God's will, to draw closer to Him, and to be Christ-like in
our daily lives. Our plea can be summed up in the wise words
of Solomon: "Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this
is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). |
