Please Think About These Things
For A Moment

There is a God... If there isn’t, where then did this planet come from? Where did our galaxy and all the other galaxies come from that form our universe? Did all this come from a “big bang” several billion years ago? If so, what or who caused such a “bang”? Scientists believe that that it is impossible for something to come from nothing. They, therefore, cannot explain their “big bang” theory. If they were honest with themselves they would admit that some thing or some being has always been in existence. That being is God. He is the One who brought all this into existence. There can be no other reasonable explanation.

That being established, why then did God make this earth and everything in it? Why did He fashion all the trees and flowers in the way that He did? Why did He create creatures of instinct such as birds and sea creatures and cattle? Why did He create man, a rational thinking being -- a creature with reasoning and communicative skills completely unlike any of God’s other creatures? Does God have a plan for man? Does He expect anything from man? If so, has He communicated to man His expectations? If so, how and where?

There are answers to all these questions. God has not left man to flounder through this life without a revelation of what man needs to know. God has revealed His will to man in the written word, the Bible. Without this revelation man would not know what to do (Jeremiah 10:23) Everything that man needs to know is contained therein (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Everything else God has chosen not to reveal (Deuteronomy 29:29).

You can read short articles such as this and close your mind to the reality of God and His revelation, the Bible. Many have done just that. But if you’d be honest with yourself you would admit that there is a God -- and if you would take the time to examine all the evidence, you would be convinced that the Bible is His revelation to you and all other men.

In the Bible God reveals who He is, a God of unlimited power, knowledge, and wisdom; a God of love, kindness, and mercy -- but as well a God of justice, wrath, and vengeance.

In the Bible He reveals who man is -- not one of the animals, but a being made in His image, made with a spirit which will never cease to exist.

In the Bible God reveals His law for men today, the doctrine of Jesus Christ.

In the Bible He reveals that “all have sinned” (including me and you), and that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 3:23; 6:23).

In the Bible God reveals a place of punishment for sinners, called “hell“ (Mark 9:43-44; Matthew 13:41-42).

In the Bible He reveals that we can be saved from hell only by the blood of His Son, Jesus (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18,19).

In the Bible He reveals the conditions that we must meet in order to be saved by Jesus’ blood (John 8:24; Romans 10:9-10; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Revelation 2:10).

And in the Bible God reveals a place reserved for those saved in Christ, a realm called “heaven,“ a place of eternal life and fellowship with Him (Colossians 1:5; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 21:22-22:5).

There is a God.
The Bible is His revelation to you.
Will you believe?
Will you obey?
